About the Position:
The Social Media & Marketing Assistant position will be responsible for assisting Beauty Heroes in two areas:
Social Media Strategy and Execution and General Marketing Coordination.
Social Media Strategy entails strategy development, content development, day-to-day engagement, scheduling and influencer outreach and support.
General Marketing Coordination entails everything from coordinating brand partnership and sponsorship details, event-planning, asset management and development and calendar maintenance and more.
We are looking for local Bay Area candidates within a comfortable driving distance to Novato, California.
The position can be part on-site and part remote.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist in managing the development and execution of content for Beauty Heroes social channels Manage the social media schedule and logistics and communication to support our marketing campaigns Concept, develop and see-through the execution, publishing and results for content Daily engagement on all social media platforms in a thoughtful and brand appropriate tone and voice.
This includes appropriate re-sharing of content Daily monitoring of direct message accounts.
Responding appropriately and channeling inquires to customer service as appropriate.
Research new social media techniques, test them and measure results Work diligently to boost engagement and growth on all social media platforms Respond to social media comments with a sense of urgency, getting support from the team as needed Weekly/regular interaction on social media platforms with our existing Brand Ambassadors and Influencers Weekly/regular interaction on social platforms with our featured Brand Partners Identify and develop relationships with existing and new Influencers/Brand Ambassadors Research new social media techniques, test them and measure results Work diligently to boost engagement and growth on all social media platforms Respond to social media comments with a sense of urgency, getting support from the team as needed Prepare assets required for our month-end marketing recap for our brand partnerships Attend brand marketing meetings, take notes and follow through on activities discussed Develop the monthly image shot list and coordinate product requests Manage and organize the Beauty Heroes image and asset library Coordinate the printing and logistics for all marketing collateral Coordinate meetings with potential and existing brands and marketing partners o Develop a monthly content calendar for email, social and event marketing Assist in coordinating and attend events at the Beauty Heroes Novato store and off-site on occasion, and manage the social media to promote and recap events Is This You? Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail Exemplary planning and time management skills Proficient in relevant social channels including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat and YouTube as well as emerging channels.
Experience engaging on social media and content creation Ability to quickly adapt to the ever-changing Social Media landscape.
Friendly, outgoing and engaging personality Creative disposition and ability to partner with creative and marketing teams Customer service experience and savvy Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment High level verbal and written communications skills and professionalism Discretion and confidentiality Desire to be a part of a small, dynamic team making a big impact Undergraduate degree.
Experience in the beauty and wellness industry and an interest in sustainable, eco-conscious business is considered an advantage.
