We are looking for an enthusiastic, smart media sales person. We are an online publishing firm reaching more than 3 million unique visitors per month. Our innovative use of a network of sites and authors has revolutionized our industry and has been welcomed by advertisers. Even if you are used to selling advertising, you have not seen anything like our approach! We cater to a technical readership. Our clients include the biggest names in the industry.
The job will require you to:
Have a minimum of two years experience in online sales, including selling display advertising
Manage sales pipeline in order to meet revenue goals
Find, nurture and pitch prospects
Develop integrated sales, marketing and editorial solutions from within our product portfolio that best fits customer needs
Prepare and deliver quotes and proposals
Provide after-sales support to customers
Collaborate as needed with content editors
Collaborate with ad traffic controller as needed to manage and optimize campaigns
Foster cooperative relationships
Grow new business
Manage customer database
Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management
Must have:
Experience in online advertising sales
Fluent in MS PowerPoint and Excel
These would be a PLUS:
Technology experience
Social media savvy
HTML authoring experience
You will work in our Novato, California office most of the time, using phone and email. There will be some travel involved with face-to-face presentations and a few trade shows to attend. We have flex time.
There will be a 4 month probationary period and then you will have a full time position with benefits. You will have a $50K base salary plus a 4% commission. We expect sales of $800K annually.
